What Makes a Great Corporate Leader?

Do you ever wonder what makes a great executive in government or business? Why is one CEO able to do so much and another fall in failure wiping out millions or even billions of dollars in the stock price or the companies goodwill (brand reputation). If we look at the top corporate executives of the 1990's and since the turn of the millennium, one has to ask what do they all have in common? Believe it or not things have not changed much when it comes to corporate leadership, indeed the 1970's and 1980's were fairly similar.
