What Is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Are you suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome? Do you feel pain on your wrist and hand? Where does the pain originate from?

Your carpal tunnel only has enough room to allow the median nerve and tendons to pass through. The median nerve lets you experience sensations in your thumb, index, middle, and ring fingers.

When the tendons and ligaments in the carpal tunnel become inflamed, the swelling puts pressure on the median nerve. This leaves you with numbness and pain on your hand and fingers. This neurological disorder is called carpal tunnel syndrome.

Find out more about carpal tunnel syndrome.
