Small Rural Newspapers Hitting the Skids - Ad Sales, Recession and the Internet to Blame

One of the Google founders not long ago mentioned that the death of print news was inevitable, and indeed, this would be hard to deny if one has been following the growth of the internet over the last decade or more. Another gentleman at the TED Conference had a piece on "The Internet; The Next Five Years" and his comment was that if we look at the last five years the Internet has totally changed, especially with the rise in social networking sites.
