Review of The Agony of the Passion in Cultural Lenses - Part Two

This is a review of the second part of an article written by a Nigerian, Dr. Herbert Eze, Academic Dean of West Africa Theological Seminary, Lagos, an affiliate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. This second article discusses probably a new and interesting image of being a man as the writer analyses I Cor. 1:23 - "but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness" - a relevant verse to contemporary Christianity. This issue of a faulty theology that is culturally driven is calamitous and catastrophic. Jews and Gentiles expected a political Messiah, and fame and strength are not necessarily parameters to measure manhood.
