We're taking an in-depth look into the Lorwyn-Shadowmoor-Shards of Alara metagame by discussing the "Big Three" decks of the format as it currently stands: Five-Color Control, Faeries, and Boat Brew. This article traces back to the weekend of Pro Tour - Kyoto, before the unveiling of Wall of Reverence as "hot tech" in Five-Color Control and therefore this article does not reference it. It does give a nod to Counter-Swans and also Four-Color Aggro.
