Diaphragmatic Breathing is Correct Breathing

Diaphragmatic Breathing is Correct Breathing
What is diaphragmatic breathing and why is it so important to our health? The diaphragm is a large, dome-shaped sheet of muscle that separates the chest from the abdomen. In effective diaphragmatic breathing the diaphragm moves down and up with every inhalation and exhalation. This movement is essential for maintaining good tissue oxygenation and lymphatic flow. Many people have become "upper chest breathers" and their diaphragms have become weak through disuse. Diaphragmatic breathing is correct breathing.
